From Pyramid Breweries in Seattle, Washington, comes Pyramid Hefeweizen, a 5.20% ABV Hefeweizen which you can pick up year-round in bottles, cans, or on-tap at area bars. Pyramid Hefeweizen pours out a bright pale lemon yellow, with a tall foamy white head that leaves much lacing behind; bubbles are visible and persistant. Pyramid Hefeweizen's nose is of soft wheat grass with hints of orange fruit esters, subtle floral hops-and all well balanced. The taste opens with light wheat bread, lemongrass, toast and biscuits, then lemon tartness, and sugar candy at the finish. This ale is fizzy and crisp on the tongue, well carbonated with a medium fullness to its body, and a sweet sort of aftertaste. Pyramid Hefeweizen is a good pair for German cuisine, tangy cheeses, salad, poultry, fish or shellfish dinners. Give Pyramid Hefeweizen a session in a Weizen Glass at 45-50°F.
