Evil Twin Hipster Ale is the last in a series of ales dedicated to the hippest cities in the world. First came Istedgade, Copenhagen then Södermalm, Stockholm followed by Williamsburg, New York and Shoreditch, London accompanied by Trastevere, Rome & last El Raval, Barcelona. With many other hip cities feeling excluded Evil Twin decided to release this new cutting-edge 'hip without borders' pale ale as an homage to the global hipster. The beer pours a glowing orange-amber, with about two fingers of bubbling, frothy head. The nose is citrusy pineapple with orange marmalade, bready malt, and sweet caramel notes. Surprisingly bitter notes for a pale ale with even more citrusy hops bringing a brightness to the profile. There is a sturdy buttery malt backbone but it's definitely light in contrast to the hops. Note of cracker, with hints of grapefruit. The mouthfeel is a bit dry with a lingering hop bite. At 5.5% abv it's a very flavorful session ale and is available year round. Cheers!
