From Evil Twin Brewing, meet Lil' B: a friendly, huge American Porter. The Brooklyn brewery crafts Lil' B to a healthy 11.5% ABV, and you'll find it in growlers, casks, bottles, and on-tap on a limited basis. This porter ale pours out an opaque and jet black hue with a tan head that settles and rings the pint glass as it goes. The nose of Lil' B offers dark chocolate, cherry cordials, caramel and roasted coffee beans. The taste is bold and follows the nose somewhat, with underlying chocolate and coffee roast flavors. There's some sugar notes to balance the bitter coffee, and the mouthfeel is sticky and gently carbonated, just where it should be for a porter. Lil' B pairs well with barbecue parties, buttery cheeses, chocolate, beef, cakes, smoked meats, or grilled meats. This one sips best from a pint glass, mug, or stein, at around 45-50°F.
